Hot weather and Chocolate!

A polite note for all customers to be aware of during these hot summer months. We only ship when the transit temperature is below 23C to ensure your chocolates arrive in premium condition. Unfortunately, chocolate and soaring temperatures do not agree so if the temperature rises above 23C we will hold back shipments until we are certain the chocolate will arrive in premium condition, more details under Shipping on Product pages.

Honey Pralines

Flavour Notes

Individual chocolates filled with a rich Aurosó hazelnut praline. Caramelized Honeys of Henley honey, Tonda Gentile Piedmont hazelnuts and Marcona almonds are blended with 100% RaiseTrade Chocolat Madagascar to create a rich and creamy praline paste. Enrobed in 90% RaiseTrade Chocolat Madagascar. Each chocolate uses Honeys of Henley’s Spring honey, collected just down the road from Aurosó HQ. The honey is processed in small batches using traditional methods. The bees feast on wild plum and cherry blossom yielding a richly floral honey that complements our fruity fillings. Each chocolate is reduced sugar, dairy and artificial colouring free. Available in boxes of 6 (70g), 12 (140g) and 24 (280g). Oaken Grove, a local vineyard that produces gorgeous English wines, worked with us to find the perfect pairing for our Honey Pralines. Their beautiful sparkling Blanc de Noirs 2015 vintage was our favourite combination. Sunrise Florins are studded with an organic sour cherry, blackberry jewels, and our special Aurosó spiced granola, all nestling on our house 90% RaiseTrade Chocolat Madagascar base couverture. Moonshine Florins (Vegan)

Flavour Notes

Moonshine Florins are studded with a Cotswolds whisky-soaked flame raisin, toasted pine nuts, rosemary from our kitchen garden, and a sprinkle of Halen Môn sea salt. All nestled on our house 90% RaiseTrade Chocolat Madagascar base couverture. The whisky we use is sourced from the Cotswolds Distillery, who craft excellent gins and whiskies in the heart of the Cotswolds. Their Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky has notes of dried fruits, chocolate and a touch of spice – making it the natural choice for our Moonshine Florins. Each chocolate is reduced sugar, dairy and artificial colouring free. Available in 75g bags.

I always thought dark chocolate was bitter and not suited to my palette as I have always had a sweet tooth. I tried the Raspberry Fig bar, Strawberry Lemon, Lemon Coriander and Somerset Cider Brandy bar (my favourite).
