The whisky we use is sourced from the Cotswolds Distillery, who craft excellent gins and whiskies in the heart of the Cotswolds. My real treat of the week has been Aurosó’s new launch: a Somerset cider brandy bar. It’s a delicious little bar of 90% Madagascan cocoa filled with an 80% cocoa and cashew ganache, and what tastes like more than a dash of cider brandy. I’ve eaten a whole bar.
“When it comes to sugar, not all chocolates are created equal. Beautiful bonbons with minimal sweetness and an intriguing array of flavours….My favourite was Apricot Morvenna Rum – it had a wonderful warm kick followed by a highlight of apricot.”
Aurosó chocolate are downright delicious. Our favourite flavour is the vegan tahini date version.

Apricot Morvenna Rum chocolates are refined and elegant, and befitting of a luxurious chocolate bonbon. Without a shadow of a doubt, this is my favourite bonbon in this collection. The rum lends its flavour without its notorious burn, which allows the apricots and nuts in the mix to shine.

We’ve tried the pistachio orange cardamon and the rose geranium so far and we love them both. But the rose geranium is (as my husband put it), remarkable! We are so pleased with both your customer service and the product itself. Keep creating genius chocolate (and we’ll keep buying it)!

I always thought dark chocolate was bitter and not suited to my palette as I have always had a sweet tooth. I tried the Raspberry Fig bar, Strawberry Lemon, Lemon Coriander and Somerset Cider Brandy bar (my favourite). I am now fully converted to dark chocolate and have sent friends and family Aurosó boxes for them to try too including my mum who is also a convert!
The only downside: Aurosó has left me completely disinterested in any other chocolate brand. The upside is that one segment really is enough to achieve a glorious chocolate hit, whilst not risking a blood sugar spike that leads to cravings. So, thank you.
I received my order yesterday and tried a couple of your chocolates – they are absolutely amazing! They are by far the most interesting, deep-flavoured and low-sugar dark chocolates that I’ve ever tried (a combination that has been sorely missing)!

These dark, glossy bons bons are filled with a ganache of honey, Greek mandarin olive oil and Modena balsamic vinegar, spiced with black cardamom and encased in a 90% Madagascan chocolate. The floral honey [Honey’s of Henley] complements the light-as-a-feather citrus filling of the chocolates. Not only are the handmade chocolates reduced sugar, so not overly sweet, but dairy and artificial colouring free.
These [Albino Flamingo Gin] bon bons are ethically made with reduced sugar and free from preservatives, keeping all the good things in so you can enjoy every last bite.
